We understand that to achieve our vision and mission and to deliver our mission, women and girls require a safe environment free of all forms of gender injustice.
Patriarchal biases and prejudice are embedded in every part of our society and reinforced and compounded by religious extremism and capitalism. The injustices arising from these systems often manifest in gender-based violence, social discrimination, and the constant violation of women’s human rights. Women’s and girls’ right to make informed choices over their bodies is subjected to state control and retrogressive religious and cultural practices. Women’s and girls’ autonomy is often undermined through restricted mobility and behavioral control.
