Elizabeth Wanjiku's story is a powerful reminder that with the right support, survivors of gender-based violence can rebuild their lives and inspire others. After being connected to GROOTS Kenya through community responders, Elizabeth received life skills training and a hairdressing apprenticeship under the Jasiri Programme. Today, she is financially independent, caring for her child, and mentoring other young women as she works towards opening her own salon.
