Mukess CBO

Mukess CBO is a fully registered organization with an active bank account at Equity Bank. It collaborates with various partners to implement impactful initiatives aimed at community development and empowerment. With WISE, it focuses on advancing women's empowerment in sustainable energy solutions, contributing to environmental conservation and economic growth. 

The organization also partners with GIZ to provide training on cookstoves production and enhance awareness of carbon credit opportunities, promoting sustainable practices. Additionally, Mukess CBO works with the County Government to support briquette production and collaborates with EYC to address critical issues surrounding Gender-Based Violence (GBV), fostering community resilience and well-being. 

Mukess recently participated in an education forum organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the county governments of Makueni, Kitui, and Machakos. The forum centered on addressing gender-based barriers to education and skills development for adolescent girls in Kenya. During the discussions, we developed a memorandum, which I will share with you soon. I want to thank GROOTS Kenya for empowering us and helping us to gain recognition from the County Government of Kitui.
