Daring Eagles CBO

We partner with Laikipia Campus University in tree planting and sharing views. We are currently in the process of starting a tree nursery with the university. We also partner with the County of Laikipia on GBV issues. Partnering with Laikipia University, we focus on climate change mitigation and adaptive measures, as well as establishing tree and fruit nurseries. Our activities include avocado grafting to benefit the community, peace initiatives, and GBV response efforts with relevant actors. We have engaged with Laikipia University several times in tree planting programs and community health forums. 

The CBO owns a tree nursery where we currently grow avocado seedlings, along with other types of tree seedlings. Consisting of 27 members, the CBO holds monthly meetings and is also engaged in running and maintaining demonstration sites. We partner with GROOTS Kenya to engage with local farmers, promoting smart farming practices. Other areas of involvement include GBV matters and climate change mitigation. 

The CBO is fully registered and holds a valid certificate and a bank account for savings. Members contribute at each monthly meeting to fund the tree nursery project. We have extended our reach to Mutitu Location to support marginalized communities. The CBO also collaborates with the County Government of Laikipia on climate change mitigation and tree planting programs. Most members have joined GROOTS Sacco, and we continue to bring more members on board.
