Scholastica Akhwale Olando from Lurambi Division, East Butsotso Location, is a Coordinator and member of Umoja Unity Self-Help group joined GROOTS Kenya in 2013, under the Women Empowerment Leadership project. She was elected as one of the National Youth Council, which promoted her to be a Youth Bunges President in her East Butsotso Location. She was later elected as a Board Member at Ibinzo Girls High School. Currently, she is the Assistant Chief of Indangalasia Sub-Location. During all this time as a leader, she has been working hard to ensure that children of both sexes receive better education.
