Salome Nduta Mburu, a Groots Kenya champion from Kiambu County's Gatundu Sub-County's Kiganjo Ward, joined GK in 2009 and actively participated in the Women's Leadership and Governance Program. Her local CBO is GaMWI (Gatundu Mwirutiri Women Initiative). She coordinates activities in Gatundu Sub-County and Kiganjo Ward, she’s a CMC member of the Groots Sacco Society. She’s also the Chairperson of Kiganjo Ward Community Development Committee in NARIGP, BOM Uchekeini Girls High School, Chairperson of Gachika Dispensary, Vice Moderator in her local church, Secretary of Laikipia County Chapter CGA (Cereal Growers Association), Treasurer in the Catholic Church, and a champion in traditional dancing.
