Joan Wangeci Kinyanjui joined GROOTS Kenya in 2014, under the Public Land Mapping Project. She is a GBV Coordinator and Chairlady of the Magina Potato Growers in the Nagrip Projects in the Lari Sub Ward, Kiambu County. In the conservation field, she is the treasurer of Kereita Integrated Community Forest Association (KICOFA) and the director of the 2014-founded Lari Investment Company (LIC), a company with 600 employees, both individuals and self-help groups.
Joan is a BOM member at Mbau-ini Secondary and Kago Primary Schools, where she does mentorship. She has participated in two local radio talk shows on conservation and Women and the Environment.
