Jane Winnie Njihia, founder and chairperson of the Good Samaritan Women's Group, is a climate-smart and budget champion from Laikipia West, Igwamiti Sub-County. She joined GROOTS Kenya in 2010 under the Women's Leadership and Governance Project. She’s a Sub-County Coordinator, a Community Health Volunteer, and a civic educator who has mentored young mothers, teenage girls, and women.
In 2017, she represented GROOTS Kenya in a high-level meeting on Sustainable Development Goals in Nairobi, and the African Union Commemoration of the International Day of Rural Women in Mozambique in 2022. Jane also ran for an MCA seat but was unsuccessful.
