Anne Gachambi Njuki, from Nyanduma Ward, Lari Sub-County, Kiambu County, joined GK in 2011 during public land mapping in Lari Sub-County as a member of Lari Women for Integrated Development (LAWID). She coordinates GK activities in Lari Sub-County and is a champion of clean cooking, mobilizing the community to embrace clean cooking technology and innovation. She also does movement building through group organizing and mentorship in Kiambu, Murang'a, Nyandarua, and Tana River Counties. She is a women's land rights defender and a member of the Kili Initiative in the African Rural Women Council, a member of the County Project Committee in the Narigp Project, the Deputy Chair of Karatina Technical and School, a member of the Kiambu County Climate and Energy Technical Working Group, a PA Representative, a member of the School Management Committee, a BOM Member/Chair of Infrastructure and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee at Karatina Technical and School and former member of parent’s association at Precious Blood Kagwe Girls. She also does event organizing such as weddings, graduations, and fundraising.
