Alice Katiwa Mwiza is from Kilifi County, Kaloleni Sub-County, Kayafungo Ward, Tsangatsini Location, Tsangatsini Sub-Location, and Guruguru Village. She is GROOTS Kenya County Champion Coordinator and joined GK in 2012 through resilience and water harvesting and women in leadership. She has been a Community Health Volunteer since 2007 and is also a Location Children Protection Volunteer, Secretary of Mwangaza CBO, and Chairlady of Upendo Women’s Group.
From 2015-2017, she was elected as Chairlady of Tsangatsini Primary School and Treasurer for Kirumbi Girls Secondary School for six years. She was also selected as a PA Member at Tsangatsini Secondary School and Chairlady for three years. She is thankful to Groots Kenya for encouraging her to increase her education level, so she went back to school and obtained her O Level certificate in 2019. She is happy to have her O Level certificate and is also a Sunday School Teacher and a Church Elder. From February 2021 to August 2022, she was on the Committee of Land Demarcation and is happy she owns a passport
