Alice Isoyi is a land rights champion and a Community-Based Organizer (CBO) Coordinator for the IKolomani Community Health Workers Alliance in Kakamega Idakho East Ward. She joined GROOTS Kenya in 1999, when HIV/AIDS was a major threat in the community and became part of the home-based care program and is one of the pioneers of community health workers.
Alice works with grassroots women to help them access information on decision-making platforms that address the challenges affecting women and youth. As a land rights champion, she advocates for women's land ownership and speaks out against property disinheritance. In order to bridge the gaps between communities and duty bearers and achieve the best possible results of development, she has successfully organized dialogues with stakeholders.
She is also a member of GROOTS Kenya Sacco, where she organizes women and capacity builds on table banking, advising them on how to grow their business by borrowing money from GROOTS Kenya Sacco.
