Community Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change programme supports grassroots women and their communities to map the effects of climate change and build their adaptation and resilience practices.

GROOTS Kenya’s work on climate change has resulted to enhanced community resilience as well as the recognition by stakeholders, including policy makers, that community members are not just victims of disaster and climate change effects but core partners in building resilience. Further through the programme, grassroots communities have been supported to mainstream climate change and disaster risk reduction in the county and national plans, policies and budgets.
