Community Responses to HIV/AIDs aim at empowering grassroots communities to effectively reduce infections and combat impacts of HIV/AIDS.

GROOTS Kenya supports grassroots women, who are predominately care providers for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) to organize into the Home Based Care Alliance (HBCA) for collective action, including advocacy for effective financing for HIV/AIDs. Through the programme GROOTS Kenya has supported care providers, PLHIV and their families to mitigate socio-economic impacts of the pandemic as well as reducing stigmatization & discrimination. Further the programme has invested in securing social protection for elderly caregivers, orphans and vulnerable children impacted by HIV/AID
